Thursday 20th September 2007
Join the members and the board of the London HR Connection for a glittering event to open the new season of networking.
LHRC should like to invite you to an evening event that is a great opportunity to find out what we have planned for the new season and to meet other HR professionals in an informal setting with free food and drinks!! (Members - there is no charge for attending, and for guests the cost is just £35.)
We will be joined by Magic of Networking who’ll be enlightening us on “Perception Bingo”. When we're out and about networking, understanding how others perceive us - what we say without even opening our mouths - is very important.
What does your appearance and body language say about you?
To help you find out, we shall be playing "Perceptions Bingo" - with prizes, of course, for the winners. On your "bingo card" there will be various descriptions and you will be encouraged, during the evening, to talk to different people around the room who "look" like these descriptions.
Get some feedback and have some fun in the process!
We promise that you will be entertained and informed in equal measure, so book now to reserve your place.
Location: Anexo Bar, 61 Turnmill Street London, EC1M 5PT
Date and Time: Thursday 20th September 2007 5:30 PM
I enjoyed the event but the bar was so noisy it was difficult to talk to people. Perceptions Bingo was a good way of starting the ball rolling.

Enjoyed the event. It was nice to do something more social to start the year. The bar was very loud and perhaps not ideal for networking. I would say this event was more enjoyable than useful, but that's not a criticism.

The event itself was fine. However, I would say that the venue was a little too warm and too loud. Lots of people commented on the noise and having to shout. That said, a good mix of people and I fully intend to attend the next event as "member" rather than guest.

Really enjoyed the relaxed approach to the event - especially the massage! The only downside was that it was a bit noisy - perhaps I'm just getting old - made it a bit difficult for conversations.

Great idea. Sorry I couldn't stay longer. Good venue, though a little noisy for speeches.

Easy to find venue, enough drinks etc, but we found we were abit "sold to" from an HR perspective by suppliers/trainers/consultants rather than talking to other HR professionals. Good massage though!

Pleasant evening - but two suggestions - in future, make sure the accoustics and noise interference do not negatively impact on any anouncements and ensure the food is there for when people arrive - most had gone before it eventually found its way out.

Good event but a bit noisy and therefore hard to network properly. The food could have been available earlier.
