An Audience with Jonathan Djanogly MP and breakfast too!

An Audience with Jonathan Djanogly MP and breakfast too!

Wednesday 1st April 2009

Jonathan Djanogly MP

Shadow Minister for Corporate Governance and Solicitor General

The impact the recession is having on employment and the role that British employers should take in responding to the challenges.

We are pleased to welcome Jonathan Djanogly MP, Shadow Minister for Corporate Governance and Solicitor General, to our April breakfast meeting. Jonathan will naturally focus on the impact the recession is having on employment, as well as the role that British employers should take in responding to the challenges arising from our current economic climate. He will also touch on the recent announcements to simplify the employment laws.

As you would expect there will be plenty of opportunity for you to ask questions of Jonathan and we hope you'll discuss these all important issues with other hr professionals in attendance.

Jonathan has a real life practical understanding of the challenges facing business, both through having run a business himself and advising others, which has helped forge his political ambitions to free business from red tape and actively support enterprise and job creation.

Registration, networking and continental breakfast – 8am -8.30am
Presentation including question and answers – 8.30am – 9.30am
Finish - 9.30am

Members - free of charge.

Feedback

Thought this was very interesting and enjoyable and useful. I much prefer breakfast events to lunch time events Thanks for organising

Excellent, thank you. Jonathan was concise and answered questions well. I love the way the guests networked and interracted and I was made feel comfortable by everyone involved, thank you! Look forward to the next meeting.

It felt slightly like a party political broadcast, although useful to hear what some of the intensions of a conservative government may be - although lacked a bit of detail. Useful to hear though and good to network.

Whilst Jonathan didn't really cover the topic as headed it was interesting to hear him speak. This was my first event and I found everyone to be really open and pleasant to speak to.

Good to hear the plans the Conservative party have for changing employment law and the speaker came into his own when answering questions from the floor.
