What are the responsibilities of HR professionals? Join in an interactive journey through the moral maze of life.
Humanity is confronting a perfect storm of economic, social and environmental threats unless it can resolve the paradox of prosperity without growth. What are the responsibilities of HR professionals to these challenges? Do they understand why people at work do right or wrong? What role can they play to help boards, managers and employee communities find the wisdom and courage to confront and resolve these challenges? In this LHRC Seminar, you will be engaged in an interactive journey through the moral maze of life and work by a leading practitioner and expert on organizational ethics and corporate responsibility.
Speaker: Roger Steare is Professor of Organizational Ethics and
Corporate Philosopher in Residence at the Cass Business School, City University. As well as teaching ethics and corporate responsibility on the Executive MBA program, he advises a number of major corporations such as BP and HSBC on these challenges in the real world. He also works with the public sector and with regulators. He is author of "ethicability" which has been endorsed both by David Cameron and Nobel human rights and peace campaigner, President Jimmy Carter.
