HR’s Role in Building Executive Presence, Personal Impact and Gravitas – Robin Kermode

Following a hugely successful debut event at the London HR Connection a couple of years ago, and now back for a second time by popular demand, we are delighted to welcome Robin Kermode as guest speaker at our February event.

A leading author, actor, key note speaker and communications coach, Robin will once again demonstrate how HR teams can work with their senior leaders to help build their executive presence, personal impact and gravitas. He will look at the structure of what they say and how they say it; from speaking to larger groups through to networking events and one-to-one meetings.

Robin will demonstrate how we also can appear confident and comfortable when running meetings and when speaking to larger groups. He will explain how we can build instant rapport with everyone we meet – really useful for networking events!

Most of us are relaxed and confident when we’re with our friends and family. We can tell a story or even tell a joke. But put us on a platform and ask us to give a speech or a presentation, and we can feel very different.

When we speak to an audience, we often put on a public mask and use a different voice. Why can’t we seem to be ourselves when we give a talk? Why can we seem to connect with an audience one day and not another? We will learn how we can start to drop that public mask and have a ‘conversation’ with our audience so that we connect with them every time we speak.

Robin Kermode is one of Europe’s leading communication coaches and Zone 2’s founder. He works with senior political and business leaders, is a popular keynote speaker and author of the best-selling book ‘Speak So Your Audience Will Listen.’ He is a respected media commentator, contributing to a wide range of newspapers from The Guardian and The Telegraph to the Radio Times and Huffington Post. Robin is the leading body language expert for the Daily Mail. As a professional writer, Robin advises clients on the structure and content of their message. A recognisable voice over artist, he is the voice of the ATP World Tour Finals each November at the 02 Arena in London. Robin’s experience, enthusiasm and sense of humour make him a highly valued speaker and coach.
