Just ahead of National Inclusion Week, the London HR Connection is delighted to host the latest in our series of panel-led debates that will be looking specifically at the hugely topical subject of inclusion and intersectionality.

Join us at 6.15pm on 20th September when we will discuss how organisations can focus on the multiple identities that people have and the impact of discrimination on minority individuals. Fundamentally, organisations must tackle the systemic disadvantage that is experienced by minority individuals without forcing them to “choose” which minority group that they are most closely aligned at any particular time. Our panel will discuss the issues and look at the practical examples of how HarperCollins, Aviva and others are bringing this to life.

Our panel will be chaired by Suki Sandhu, the founder and CEO of OUTstanding, the membership organisation that is driving the diversification of the Boardroom and championing the visibility of senior LGBT+ role models. The other panellists include:

  • John Athanasiou is Director of People at publisher, HarperCollins
  • Sara Thompson is People Director, UK Insurance at Aviva
  • Stephen Frost is the former head of Diversity and Inclusion at KPMG and an Expert Advisor to the UK Cabinet Office
