Organisations should mimic jazz bands as well as orchestras

The Global Recruiter UK Summit 2018 will be held at 30 Euston Square on March 8th. Taking the title: Demanding Talent: Recruitment excellence in a candidate-driven marketplace, the summit brings together recruitment experts, practitioners and thought leaders for a day in which visitors can learn more about the current talent market and ensure their practices will succeed and deliver for clients and candidates. This year the summit will hear from Ian Brinkley, Interim Chief Economist at the CIPD and Annemarie Muntz, President of the World Employment Confederation. There will also be a session from ‘Google’ Dave Hazlehurst, partner at Ph.Creative, on the best use of emerging online technologies for recruitment.
While aimed primarily at agency recruiters, the summit has great potential and information for high level HR and talent acquisition managers and directors. Consequently, we can offer twenty free tickets to the event. Happy New Year 2018 – a Message from the Chair of the London HR Connection
As we enter 2018, I wanted to take the opportunity to wish you all a very happy New Year on behalf of the Board of the London HR Connection (LHRC). I hope you had a great Christmas and are looking forward to exciting prospects for 2018.
Our 2017/18 season got off to a great start for the LHRC, culminating in our Christmas Special event which was a fantastic fun-filled evening hosted by our friends at Live Nation/Ticketmaster at their funky offices in Islington. Who can forget the slide (which many of used to make our dramatic entrance), and the jukebox which plays every hit since 1952! We were delighted that the event raised nearly £1,000 for our chosen charities, Cancer Research UK & Crisis at Christmas. Thank you to everyone for your kind donations. More
